The CRS is the prime interdisciplinary forum linking professionals and academics concerned with co-operation and conflict and provides a meeting point for sharing their work.

Membership of the Conflict Research Society

The Society is keen to encourage membership applications. Even if you are unable directly to benefit from all that the Society offers, by supporting the CRS you are helping to sustain the multidisciplinary approach to understanding and reducing conflicts that is our particular strength.

Members receive: invitations to the Society's meetings; free attendance at meetings and reduced rates at symposia/conferences; two Newsletters a year; free access to the conflict resolution library at Canterbury; and access to the information network of the Society. The Journal of the Society is also provided (on request) to current members in the year of publication.

Membership is open to all interested parties subject to the approval of Council. Though many of our members are professionals working in universities and research institutes, we also have members in government and the public services, in management and the trades unions, in the fields of medicine, education, religion, counselling and mass communications. The Society welcomes anyone who supports our aims and activities: more details are provided in the Society's Rules, available on request from the Secretary.

Applications for membership should be sent to the Society's Membership Secretary at the address given below using the Application Form (PDF version available here). Please print out and complete the application form and send it by post enclosing the relevant subscription. This subscription will not be banked or any banker's orders initiated until your application has been approved.

Subscriptions fall due on 1st May each year. Annual subscription rates are presently as follows: Full Member £15; Concessionary Members (students and unwaged) £5. Corporate membership is also available: please contact the Treasurer for details
